Judy,
I just read "Sally..." What a pleasure to read, and what a woman, what a life! I had known about the book for a few years, but what compelled me to buy it was the painting "Every woman's secret fear." No shit. I was a friend of Theodora and Tommy O'Toole when they lived in Deep Gap, NC, in the early 1970's. She was kind, fabulous, fascinating, and she and Tommy took a lost 18-year-old away from home for the first time under their wing. I thank them forever for the kindness they showed me. Theodora herself would be quite a story, don't you think?...
